Cabot Conversations

Work / University of Bristol / Cabot Institute

The Cabot Institute for the Environment approached us to capture 10 conversations between experts, thought leaders and researchers.

These topics would span issues on and surrounding the environment, and support their comms strategy in the build up to COP26, the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

Concept

Proud of their interdisciplinary approach to research and their support of the local community, one of the concepts we pitched threw artists into the mix. This saw an artist listen to each 30-60 minute conversation and produce a piece of art - be it a painting, dance or poem - in response to and inspired by the conversation in environments relevant to their craft or the topic.

The subsequent films intercut the conversations with this piece of art being created, developed or performed.

Longer 60-minute conversations were also created as podcasts and are available to listen on most popular platforms, hosted by Anchor.fm.
